Meet Nurse Practitioner Gavneet

We asked Nurse Practitioner Gavneet about herself and her role at Revive La Jolla UTC, keep reading to learn more!

What made you want to become a Nurse Practitioner?

My passion for the holistic health and wellness space is what led me to being a Nurse Practitioner! I started my career in pediatrics and have since transitioned into functional/regenerative medicine and aesthetic medicine. I love helping people feel their best through a holistic approach, which includes helping them feel more confident!

How long have you been in the industry?

3.5 years! I was trained as a nurse under a Plastic Surgeon while getting my NP degree!

What treatments do you specialize in?

I would say my specialty is in regenerative therapies because the therapies help to address some of the root causes of aging skin! I love PRP, Morpheus, exosomes, and collagen bio-stimulating therapies!

What is your favorite treatment to get?

Personally, I love microneedling for my face with either PRP or exosomes! Give me all that collagen and smooth skin please!

What do you wish you would’ve known about skincare/beauty when you were younger?

I wish I would have known to 1) start a good skin care regimen early on but also 2) you don’t need a complicated 30-minute skincare routine. Finding the right products can be extremely overwhelming when there are so many options. I work with my patients to find a customized and realistic skincare routine.

What do you do in your free time?

I spend a lot of time outdoors being active! Hiking, working out, walks on the beach, anything that keeps the body moving! I love traveling and exploring new places and countries! I am new to San Diego so there is a lot to explore for me out here!

Favorite aesthetic trends right now?

Regenerative therapies for sure! Instant gratification is nice and we all love it but I think many people are starting to realize the longer term benefits of regenerative therapies for their skin as it ages! Remember, you don’t have to choose one over the other, many treatment plans can include regenerative therapies along side other treatments!
