“You can change the way you age!”
We asked Registered Nurse Gina a few questions about her role at Revive and how she can help you achieve your desired look.
1) What is your education and/or specialties?
I love to learn and broaden my horizons. I have four degrees, including my BSN. My first love was Nursing, but I followed a few different courses along the way that piqued my interest. I started my career path as an EMT. I went on to study Psychology and that led to teaching in a high-level treatment facility for adolescents with severe emotional disturbances. After teaching for 13 years, I decided to go back to pursue my BSN. One of the best decisions I made because I now do what I love the most – Aesthetics! I have over 2 years in the field and I love helping my patients attain their treatment goals.
2) What is your favorite area to treat or procedure to do?
My favorite area to treat is the lips. Full lips are part of many alluring features of the face, but they are a stand-out feature to me. They add mystique and magnetism. We often watch lips as people speak, so why not give them something voluminous to look at?
3) What’s your favorite product and why?
I adore the TNS Essential Serum by SkinMedica. It’s transformative and simply put, amazing! It contains actual human growth factors and stimulates collagen and elastin production. It also has vital antioxidants to protect and enrich the skin. My skin is smoother, more even-toned, and silky soft.
4) What do you love about working at Revive Med Spa?
From the moment I walked into Revive, I was greeted with warmth and encouragement. Every person was positive and seemed excited to be there. I love being part of a close knit family-like atmosphere. I enjoy interacting with my colleagues and learning from them. Revive encompasses teamwork, collaborativeness, and education. It’s a bonus to be surrounded by such lovely people, inside and out.
5) What’s a fact most clients don’t know that you wish they did?
You can change the way you age! I am a self-proclaimed skincare and makeup junkie. I can attribute this love to my grandmother. She always told me to moisturize my skin every day and wear lipstick. She always left the house looking her best. She had beautiful skin and always wore a wide-brimmed hat. I am diligent about my skin care regimen. I do not take my skin for granted. I stay up-to-date on new skin care products, the science behind them, and I love trying new things. Oh, and neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport) are a great accompaniment to your skin care routine. *Wink-Wink*
6) What do you wish you would’ve known about skincare when you were younger?
I would have been better about wearing sunscreen in my teens and early twenties. It really is the one anti-aging product that can make or break your skincare routine. I do not leave the house without applying sunscreen to my face, decolletage, and hands.
