We asked Registered Nurse Ash about her and her role at Revive Mission Valley, keep reading to learn more!
What made you want to become an aesthetic nurse?
I became friends with a nurse who worked in a Dermatology office that also provided cosmetic treatments. Whenever she would tell me about what she did at work that day, I would always think “Wow that sounds so fun! I wish I could do that too…” After transitioning into aesthetics myself I can confirm that yes, it IS fun! I am very glad I made the transition into this industry.
How long have you been in the industry?
I have been in the aesthetics industry for one year. Before aesthetics, I worked in pediatric inpatient psych and primary care.
What treatments do you specialize in?
My favorite treatments to do are neuromodulators, Morpheus8, and laser tattoo removal.
What is your favorite treatment to receive?
I have not had any treatments done at Revive yet, but I would love to try microneedling with exosomes, as well as PRP for my dark undereye circles.
What do you wish you would’ve known about skincare/beauty when you were younger?
I wish I had known much sooner about the consequences of over-exfoliation. I wish I could go back in time and tell my teenage self to leave that St Ives Apricot Scrub ALONE! The crushed walnuts and salicylic acid combo were tearing my poor skin barrier to shreds.
What do you do in your free time?
I like to go to baseball games (go Padres!) and watch hockey (go Kraken!). I love doing Pilates and just being out and about with my friends. I love movies so I’m always at the movie theater seeing new films. One of my goals for 2024 is to learn how to ride a dirt bike.
Favorite celebrities who have gotten work done?
Julia Fox, Lana Del Rey, Bella Hadid, Ryan Gosling, Tom Cruise, and Christian Bale.
Favorite aesthetic trends right now?
I love the rise and continued expansion of the regenerative aesthetics field. There are already a variety of great treatments available that work synergistically with your body’s natural healing abilities. I’m excited to see what further research and treatments there are to come.
