WHAT IS PRP?
PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma and is an extract of your own blood. It is nutrient-rich and contains three to five times more platelets, growth factors, and active proteins than your own blood. This “liquid gold” helps to strengthen and heal your tissue.
It originally was used in orthopedic surgery, oral surgery, and cosmetic surgery but has since been adapted to help with wound healing and tissue regeneration in conjunction with microneedling and laser treatments, injections under the eyes to help with dark circles and strengthen tissue, and in Hair Restoration.
HOW IS PRP USED FOR HAIR RESTORATION TREATMENTS?
