What made you want to become a doctor and work in the aesthetic industry?
I have wanted to be a doctor for as long as I can remember! I initially was trained as an OB/GYN but didn’t pursue it for 2 reasons. 1. I wanted to stay home and raise my boys, and 2. I didn’t like myself as the stressed-out, type-A personality I needed to be for that career, so I took a career turn and started in vascular cosmetic surgery, and loved the cosmetic aspect of it. I decided to pursue the aesthetic part of medicine after seeing the happiness and self-confidence a little aesthetic treatment could bring to a patient.
How long have you been in the industry?
I have been in the aesthetic industry for 10 years now (hard to believe!)
What treatments do you specialize in?
I specialize in almost all treatments at Revive, including Neuromodulators, Fillers, Microneedling, Morpheus8, and Sculptra!
What is your favorite treatment to get?
My favorite treatments to get at Revive are Daxxify, Microneedling, and Morpheus8!
What do you wish you would’ve known about skincare or beauty when you were younger?
So, due to the fairness of my skin, I have worn sunscreen since I was a baby, so that was never an issue. I do wish I had started neuromodulators earlier in my life (I didn’t start until my 40s), and I wish I had taken better care of my skin with facials, moisturizers, and HA, to avoid some of the inevitable signs of aging.
What do you do in your free time?
In my free time, I love to read, go on long walks, bake, do yoga (when I don’t have a broken ankle like now!!), walk my dogs, and spend as much time with my grandson as possible!
Favorite aesthetic trends right now?
My favorite aesthetic trend right now is regenerative treatments, including Sculptra, Hyper Dilute Radiesse, Morpheus8, PRP, and PRF. I love the fact that we are using our own body’s ability to build collagen and elastin to generate gradual and natural results! I can’t wait to see where we can go with it in the future!
